From 1st December 2015, Qatar Airways will be resuming its non-stop flights to Nagpur, an important trade and business hub in India. The airline earlier served Nagpur from September 2007 to May 2009.
This resumption of flight services between the two cities will take the carrier’s total weekly passenger flights from 95 to 102 across 13 key cities in India.
Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, His Excellency, Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “Reinstating the Doha-Nagpur route is part of Qatar Airways’ strategy to service increasing demand by providing the best possible flying experience to our customers in India. Today, India has the largest number of destinations served by our carrier across any market and we will continue to look for more destinations and additional flights to expand our reach in the Indian subcontinent.”
Qatar Airways will use an A320 on the route between Doha and Nagpur. The aircraft will feature 144 seats in a two-class configuration – 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class will be available for travellers.
Currently, Qatar Airways serves 12 cities in India and connects these cities via its hub in Doha to a large number of global destinations, including Barcelona, Chicago, Dallas, London, Miami, New York, Paris, Rome, and Washington D.C.
Flight QR 588 will depart Doha at 19:55 and will be arriving in Nagpur at 02:15(+1). For the return journey, flight QR 589 will leave Nagpur at 03:45 and will be landing at Doha airport at 05:55.
